My First Week on Medium and Lessons I Learned So Far
Reflections and Insight on My First Six Days on Medium
As I sit here writing this, I can hardly believe it’s already been six days since I began my journey on Medium.
It’s my first weekend since starting, and I’m taking a moment to reflect on what I’ve learned so far. On Tuesday, May 2nd, 2023, I made the decision to start sharing my thoughts and ideas with the world through writing.
And let me tell you, it’s been an emotional rollercoaster.
The first few days were filled with doubt and uncertainty. Was I really cut out for this? Would anyone even want to read what I had to say?
But as I pushed through those doubts and fears, I began to find my voice. I discovered that I had ideas that were worth sharing, and that there were people out there who wanted to hear them.
In just six short days, I've learned so much about writing, about myself, and about the power of sharing our stories.
And I'm excited to continue on this journey, to see where it takes me, and to share what I learn along the way.
So, join me as I reflect on my first week on Medium, and the lessons I've learned so far.
This past week has been a whirlwind of emotions, challenges, and growth as I took my first steps into the world of Medium.
As a student writer and creator, I was excited to share my thoughts and ideas with a wider audience, but also nervous about putting myself out there for the world to see.
In just a few short days, I learned so much about the power of vulnerability and the importance of finding your own voice in a sea of content.
I also discovered the value of connecting with like-minded individuals and building a supportive community that can help you reach your goals.
Of course, there were also moments of doubt and uncertainty, times when I questioned whether my writing was good enough or whether anyone would care about what I had to say.
But through it all, I learned to embrace the process, to trust in my own abilities, and to keep pushing forward even in the face of adversity.
Looking back on this first week, I am filled with gratitude to Medium for the opportunity to share my voice with the world and to connect with so many amazing individuals.
I am also excited to continue learning and growing as a writer and creator, and to see where this journey takes me in the weeks and months to come.
On the down side🥲, As I reflect on my first week on Medium, I can’t help but feel a sense of disappointment.
I had poured my heart and soul into my writing, but no one seemed to be reading it. Most of my articles sat there with zero views, and it was disheartening.
But then I remembered why I started this journey. It wasn’t for the views or the claps, but because I have a passion for writing and creating.
I also thought about how Eve Arnold thrives on this platform while still keeping her full-time job. Her story inspires me a lot. It was through her inspiration that I decided to start this journey, and I’m not giving up yet.
To all the professionals out there, I would love to hear your tips and encouragement on how to grow and thrive on this platform.
I know that building an audience takes time and effort, but I am willing to put in the work. So please, share your wisdom in the comments section.
And to all my readers, I encourage you to follow me for more. Even though the zero views were discouraging,
I am determined to keep writing and creating. Who knows, maybe one day my articles will reach the people who need them most.😉
